Okay so bear with me, I am a chick and may not explain things perfectly. We have a deep well, not sure if it a submersable or not. The other night it just stopped pumping water into the house. My husband checked the fuse box and the fuse was not tripped. He went out and drained the pump a little bit and it started working again, water pressure started off very very low, but by the morning time it was at full pressure. That was this past Thursday night around midnight. Today, around 1:00 pm the water pressure dropped very low and stopped flowing into our house again. My husband went out and drained the pump completely (about 45 min to an hour). Once again it started flowing into the house, starting out very slowly and then building pressure. But here it is midnight again and the water pressure is next to nothing. Our pump is outside (we live in a trailor) in a "pump house". Can anybody help me as to what may be going on?

I think you mean your husband drained the tank. If the tank is waterlogged, you may need a new one. The fact that the pump recovers very slowly could be one of many things. No sense in making wild guesses.
Your best bet would be to call a pump man/well driller and let them have a look.

| Yes, I do mean he drained the tank. This morning the water pressure was fine again. We really cannot afford to have someone come out and look at it. I was laid off and am now 5 months pregnant with a suprise pregnancy and cannot find a job, not to mention we have 2 kids at home already. So with my husband the only one working, we are financially strapped and cannot afford someone to come out and look at the system. Any guesses as to what it might be would actually be pretty helpful! |

I don't even know what kind of pump you have, but here goes.
It could be the well is not producing enough water. It could be the pump tripping out on it's overload because of some sort of electrical problem. It could be both.
There are just so many things it could be and without some info, all of what I suggest are just shots on the dark.
