I have a goulds pump 16 amp 2hp 3450 rpm 230 volts for the past year or so have been having problems about every 3-4 months it trips breaker and will not reset until i pull the pump and use my drill to manually turn the pump then i put back and it works fine for a while. Do not put anything down the drains that should not be there any ideas or suggestions.
Is this a sewage pump or a sump pump? Two horse is rather big for a sump pump, but the big box stores tend to exaggerate their horsepowers a lot. What is this pump used for?
My house sits down hill from the main sewage line at the road so everything goes into a small containment box approx. 4'x4'x4' and is pumped from there uphill to the main sewage lines.
This is always a problem. Even with grinders, they can get stopped up also. The big thing is to tell everyone in the household what NOT to put down the drain.
